Allium fistulosum
The Evergreen Scallion (Allium fistulosum) will overwinter with no special care and emerges with robust, green shoots in early spring. Seedlings can be set out whenever the soil can be worked and these non-bulb-forming shoots will provide nearly year-round harvests and will multiply by division naturally if left unharvested.
Each year, the Hudson Valley Seed Company commissions contemporary artists from around the U.S. to tell the story of a particular seed variety, a unique way to celebrate seeds' diverse stories before you enjoy the harvest!
